Dear Valued Customer,

You will be aware the events of Monday morning and the severe weather storm which has hit the lower North Island and upper South Island has caused significant disruption.

At this time all of our branches in the affected areas are open and are attempting to make deliveries and provide outbound services where possible.

However you need to be aware of the following issues impacting our network,

·         Severe flooding in Wellington which is impacting our ability to make deliveries.

·         Flooding in the Rai Valley.

·         The Main North Line is closed between Palmerston North and Wellington.

·         SH 1 remains closed and there is no rail services available between Picton and Christchurch.

We would ask you speak to our Customer Service Teams to ascertain the impact of services in your specific area for both inbound deliveries and outbound linehaul services.

We have commenced roading between Picton and Christchurch utilising the Lewis Pass, this has added approx 3 hours to the round trip journey of our linehaul units.

We will update you with more information as it comes to hand. We have teams of people working through a contingency plan and a reshaped network linehaul plan for Interisland Services and will endeavour to have this communicated to all of Customers by COB today.

Please contact your local branch or account manager if you wish to discuss a specific area of concern.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
